TD History Forum: Chinese Workers contributed at Salmon Cannery
“The China Crew at the Seufert Brothers Cannery” is topic of the Saturday, Feb. 8 Regional History Forum at the Original Wasco County Courthouse. The photo shows the bunkhouse for Chinese workers, brought to The Dalles by labor contractors for the seasonal salmon runs.
TD History Forum on Saturday focuses on Fire Lookouts
Lookout towers will be featured in the first Regional History Forum program at the Original Wasco County Courthouse Saturday, Feb. 1. Forum begins at 1:30 p.m. in the upstairs courtroom of the 1859 courthouse, 410 West 2nd Place, The Dalles.
