Celebration of Life for Don Arthur set for March 22 in Rufus. Don served on the Rufus City Council for the last 6 years, as well as for a short time on the Board of Directors for North Sherman County Rural Fire Protection District.
Pharmacist, District Attorney, Marathon Runner and Farmer - Bill was a true renaissance man - He enjoyed playing music, particularly the guitar, as well as photography. Bill enjoyed running, swimming, and bicycling and competed in many marathons, triathlons and iron man competitions.
Karen’s talents, job titles, passions, and achievements are endless. She waitressed at the China Gorge, drove a school bus, and ran her own mobile homemade soup business. She was often referred to as “The Mt. Hood version of Martha Stewart.”
George was a teacher in The Dalles, OR, where he taught until his retirement in 1998. He was honored to be selected as “Teacher of the Year” two separate times. George also taught courses at Columbia Gorge Community College and took pride in his later love of running by taking part in the “Hood to Coast” 195-mile relay run multiple times, the Cherry Festival run and the Seaside Marathon.
