The Dalles, Ore. Nov. 4, 2024 — Kiwanis meetings are held every Thursday at noon at Spooky’s and visitors are welcome.  This week’s events include:

— Nov. 7 Heather Howard, Youth Services Manager with The Next Door, addresses youth outreach workers who serve in D21 schools.

— Nov. 11 Kiwanians organize the Veterans Day Parade.

— Nov. 14 Jessica Catellier and Courtney Reyes from Center for Living talk about school based mental health services and crisis response.

— Nov. 21 Jaime Esiquio Goodenough and Stephanie Flores, 2nd and 4th grade Dual Language Immersion instructors at Chenowith Elementary School share their experience growing up in The Dalles and teaching in the DLI program.

— Nov. 28 Thanksgiving:  no noontime meeting.

— Nov. 29 Kiwanians line up entries and enter float in Starlight Parade.
