TD High School Bond polling kicks off this week
D21 Chief Financial Officer Kara Flath has been working collaboratively with the Wasco County Tax Assessor’s office over the last several months to ensure estimated tax numbers related to the potential bond coincide with the most recent tax assessments. These numbers will help the district better understand, and subsequently respond, to concerns regarding the bond cost when it comes to individual impacts.
North Wasco County School District Selects New Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment
North Wasco County School District is pleased to announce the hire of Dr. Lauren Merklin as the new Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment. Merklin, holds both a masters and doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Administration brings an extensive background in leadership, professional development, and school strategy to the District team.
TD's LaDouceur to head The Dalles Middle School
Ryan LaDouceur, who was raised in The Dalles, is returning to The Dalles to take on the Principal position at The Dalles Middle School. He has more than 16 years of educational experience in schools spanning the globe with stints as an administrator in Japan, China, Germany, and South Korea. He was also a 4A champ while Wrestling with TDHS in 1999 and brings years of coaching experience in the sport.
Mike Elston, key founder of TDHS Alumni Association, retires
Over the last decade, there has been one man at the heart of the TDHS alumni Association. In fact, for many, his name has quite literally been synonymous with the association itself. That man is Mike Elston. A 1965 graduate of The Dalles High School, Elston was instrumental in the creation, oversight and continued sustainability of the TDHS alumni group.
D21 Welcomes Two New Principals to Colonel Wright and Dry Hollow Elementary School
