Public Notice for 6th St Paving on Sept. 29, 2025

Starting Monday September 29th paving will start on W 6th St with an estimated duration of 3-4 days. Paving will start on the corner of Hostetler against the newly placed curb and gutter and run the length of the project. Due to the application rate and temperature of the asphalt access to businesses will be affected for roughly 2-4 hours once the material is placed on W. 6th St.

Walk-in Criminal Record Expungement Clinics Offered at the Libraries in HR and TD

For more than two years, retired lawyers and other volunteers have been helping Gorge residents apply for expungement (or “set aside”) of their Oregon criminal records. The volunteers operate free walk-in clinics twice a month in The Dalles and Hood River. More than 220 people have sought help through the clinics since June 2023. Most who come to the clinics live in the Gorge, but the clinics are open to anyone who needs help.
