GOBHI Moves to Klindt Dr. in TD; Old HQ to be bought by Wasco County for $3.8 million
GOBHI has made preparations to sell its former property at 401 E. 3rd St. to Wasco County. The downtown 3rd Street building would serve as office space for county staff and existing tenants. 85 and older in TD? Free garbage service awaits; Garbage rates up slightly
TD city residents with service to a 32-gallon trash can will see their rate increase 10 cents to $21.89 per month. This includes the Household Hazardous Waste surcharge of $1.40. The Dalles Disposal offers free service to seniors 85 years and older. It also supports multiple community cleanups at no cost to volunteers or weekend warriors.

He is hosting a “Cut the Rug” Extravaganza at The Dalles Eagles, 2006 W. 7th Street on Saturday, Oct. 21 starting at 5 p.m. Kate Nichols will provide line dancing instruction from 5 to 6 p.m. Line dancing and couples dancing starts at 6 p.m. with Megan Alder and the Woods providing live music at 7 p.m.

Starseed Curiosities and Gifts to Close its Doors Sept 23rd
Starseed Curiosities and Gifts, in The Dalles will close it’s doors for good next weekend. The store which won last year’s Best New Business of the Year Award, will have its final farewell celebration on September 23rd. As a thank you to the community, everything in store will be 40% off from now until the final ceremonial closing of the doors. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

A few months ago Maren McGeeney, decided to take a leap of faith. After decades working in other people’s restaurants and cafe’s she decided to put her culinary and barista skills to the test by opening The Wagon Social Club in Mosier, OR.
