Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue (MCFR) received a call at around 11:07 a.m. of a structure fire at Celilo Inn. According to MCFR Chief Bob Palmer, the fire started in a room in the middle of the complex on the upper floor.

Updated June 16, 2023 3:30 p.m. All evacuation areas have been lowered to a Level 1 BE READY and the fire is 80% contained. Crews are still on scene but there are no active fires. As we have seen over the last few days, fire season is ramping up. Stay diligent and help protect our region from wildfires
A fire was reported at the Cherry Blossom apartments in the Dalles Oregon, today March 28th at 5:22 p.m. Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue, The Dallas City Police and Dallesport, Fire District responded to the scene and quickly stemmed the blaze before it could spread to other apartment units. The occupant of the apartment was at home at the time of the blaze and managed to evacuate himself and his dog from the apartment safely.
