Kasey McCullough is adding the unit to his property as housing shortages in The Dalles have become dire in recent years and he is hoping to make an impact on the problem. High rent and low housing stock have been major barriers to locals finding affordable housing.

Honald Crane took part of this heating, ventilation and air conditioning system to the air on Tuesday morning, Nov. 2 at Court Street downtown The Dalles. The company was working in concert with Oregon Equipment to install the new system on the building that houses Columbia River Affordable Portables, Mary’s A-Tax and Windermere Real Estate.
