Notice for Road Closure beginning 3/17/2025 on W 6th Street

The Dalles, Ore., March 7, 2025 — The City of The Dalles has contracted Crestline Construction to provide sanitary, storm, sidewalk, and roadway reconstruction on W 6th Street between Hostetler Way and to the South of the Snipes Intersection.

Shoulder excavation will commence on Monday, March 10th, 2025, in two locations along the project with little impact on existing traffic flow.

On March 17th the Southbound Lane between the Snipes intersection and ending before the Southern entrance to Coastal Farm and Ranch will close, with the detour using Snipes to W 7th St to Myrtle St then back onto W 6th Street. The Northbound Lane on W 6th Street will remain open with traffic speeds reduced to 25MPH.

Crestline Construction recommends motorists pay attention or use alternate routes, if possible, obey site traffic control, and be aware of the increased construction equipment and activity throughout the duration of the project. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we construct these City of The Dalles Improvements.
