By Cole Goodwin
Lyle, Wash., April 12, 2024 — A year after a fire temporarily closed its doors, the Hot Wok Restaurant and Lounge in Lyle welcomed back diners last Tuesday, April 2, marking a new chapter for the local eatery.
Nearly a year ago on April 21, 2023, emergency services responded to a fire at Hot Wok, 600 State Street. The incident drew over 20 responders from surrounding fire departments and caused significant damage, leading to a temporary closure.
Despite the setbacks, the restaurant's management and staff have worked diligently over the past year to make repairs. The reopening has been met with enthusiasm from the community of Lyle. Diners have been eager to revisit the restaurant to enjoy its diverse menu featuring Chinese classics and American staples.
The Hot Wok is now open Monday through Saturday from 12 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. The restaurant also continues to offer both dining-in and takeout options.
