Cabbage hill spin outs force closure on I-84 east of Pendleton

The Dalles, Ore., Dec. 1, 2023, 1 p.m. - I-84 eastbound is now open at milepost 216, 7 miles east of Pendleton at Exit 216/OR 331. Traffic was at a standstill due to spun out vehicles blocking lanes at milepost 223, at the top of Cabbage Hill.
I-84 eastbound is closed between Exit 265, 4 miles east of La Grande, and Exit 374 in Ontario due to an additional crash at milepost 304 eastbound. Crews are working to clear eastbound lanes at new crash site and hope to open this afternoon. U.S. 30 remains closed, local traffic only. There is no access to I-84 from U.S. 30. OR 245 is restricted to local traffic only. Travelers are encouraged to stay home if possible until roads are cleared. More Info Here UPDATE
The Dalles, Dec. 1, 2023, 10 a.m. - Interstate 84 eastbound is closed at milepost 216, which is 7 miles east of Pendleton at Exit 216/OR 331.
Traffic is at a standstill due to spun-out vehicles blocking lanes at milepost 223, at the top of Cabbage Hill. Closure may take a couple of hours.
In addition, I-84 eastbound remains closed between Exit 304 in Baker City and Exit 374 in Ontario.
Multiple crashes, at mileposts 323 and 325, closed both eastbound lanes earlier this morning. Crews are working to open eastbound lanes on this section of I-84 within the hour. U.S. 30 remains closed, local traffic only.
