CGCC starts Aviation Tech program to address shortage in industry
CGCC is bringing a new aviation maintenance technician program to the Gorge to address a shortage in the industry. “The average starting annual pay for a certificated mechanic is $45,000,” and this is increasing every year. Experienced mechanics earn $70,000 per year or more. Read more here.
CGCC Taking Applications for New Student Housing; It's suite

Two colleges offer new option for art students
CGCC students who transfer to Pacific Northwest College of Art at Willamette University are now able to receive a scholarship of $22,000 per year, guaranteed for up to three-and-a-half years, for a total of $77,000.
Advanced Manufacturing Debuts at CGCC this Summer
Good Jobs await skilled workers. Thus CGCC has put together an advanced manufacturing class for this summer. Students will learn blueprint reading, manufacturing processes, technical mathematics, tube and pipe fabrication and repair, stainless steel welding, design processes, aluminum welding, sheet metal fabrication, basic machining practices.
