TD's Holiday Hour of Power

Locals were out in force this morning as blue sky pushed back the melancholy misting of snow that whitewashed the past two days. People were taking advantage of President’s Day between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. this morning in The Dalles as a host of chores and fun transportation opportunities were available to those willing to seek a little adventure. Come along and take a tour.

Harlee's Ride

Two-and-a-half-year-old Harlee Kubitscheck wasn’t quite sure how to take the 23-degree temperatures and fresh pow downhill. But she ended her sled ride with a smile for her dad, Jacob, and sister, Lolani, 10. The family was gathered with about 30 other people at the Dry Hollow Elementary hill this afternoon, Friday, Feb. 12.

The Greatest January Day Ever

Sunshine and free time tumbled together into an incredible day of outside fun today, Jan. 18. Both Riverside Trail and The Dalles Skatepark were bubbling with activity as temperatures in the mid-40s felt a lot warmer with the heat of the sun. Riders of scooters, recumbents, bicycles and runners, walkers and their dogs, and even picnickers could not resist this, the Greatest January Day Ever.
