E 9th & Quinton streets closed on Monday for utility work
On Monday, March 31, 2025, the City of The Dalles Public Works will begin work on E 9th St. at the intersection with Quinton St. to replace and upgrade a sanitary sewer main and a storm sewer main.
Street Cut Patch on Mt. Hood St. Between W 10th St. and W 11th St.
On Monday, March 17, 2025, the City of The Dalles Public Works will patch a street cut on Mt. Hood St. between W 10th St. and W 11th St., weather permitting. The street was cut earlier in the month to replace and upgrade a water main.
Houseless Update: St. Vincent de Paul Lawsuit Dismissed

Chip Seal Projects Scheduled for The Dalles Roads: Expect Short-Term Closures
The week of June 10, 2024, City and County crews will begin work on several pavement preservation projects. These chip seal projects will require short-duration road closures between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at each location on the date the work is scheduled to take place. Detours will be in place during work hours.

Effective Wednesday, May 8, 2024, the City will be enforcing The Dalles Municipal Code 10.13.070.040(C) (Removal of signs in public right-of-way or on City-owned real property) and removing non-permitted political campaign signs brought to the City’s attention as being located within the City’s public right-of-way or on other City-owned real property.
