Wild Brew Coffee & Pizza Is Open for Business

The Dalles, Ore. November 2, 2023 – Wild Brew cafe located in the old Kainos building at 418 E Second St, The Dalles, OR opened for business yesterday. In fact, the cafe was so full of patrons looking to support the grand opening that the cafe had run out of mozzarella cheese for their pizzas!
“The first day went amazing, I’m so grateful I have this awesome community that came out to support local business. I’m so thankful for such an amazing community and family and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better day,” said Alina Brewer, co-owner of Wild Brew.
While many may still be mourning the loss of Kainos, the reopening of the cafe and woodfired pizza place under a new name and new ownership is a dream come true for The Dalles locals Alina and William Brewer who are happy to continue providing a sit down cafe space in downtown The Dalles.
“Having a cafe has been a dream of mine, it was something that I always wanted to do,” said Alina. “I would just pray about it and you know every door we went to it just kept opening for us. So, every single thing was provided for and here we are now.”
The happy couple will certainly have their hands full with this business on top of Liam being in school to become a minister and having a one year old baby.
“There’s definitely a lot of emotions today because I’m 22 years old and like to be able to open my own business and see that dream get started and have this fun community space for people just makes me so happy,” said Alina.
As far as the menu goes, Alina says they are starting small at first but do have plans to expand the menu to include more pizza and pastries. She also hopes to add paninis to the menu and include some gluten free and vegan options in the coming months.
“We definitely want to bring some inclusive options, because everybody wants to be able to go out and eat and have a good time,” said Alina.
The current menu includes artisanal wood fired margarita, veggie, Hawaiian, and hamburger pizzas. Alina shared that the grain for the pizza dough and the hamburger are both sourced from local farms.
Also on the menu are specialty lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, americanos, espresso, made with their own specialty medium roast Guatemalan and Hondurous coffee bean blend which creates incredibly smooth and mild flavored coffee beverages.
Other beverages include hot chocolate, Lotus energy drinks, kombucha, and Arome Teas from Hood River.
And of course no cafe is complete without a few specialty pastries including lemon bread, and biscotti.
Wild Brew encouraged the community to come visit them during business hours which are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. coffee and pastries are served all day but pizza service runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
