Teen walks away from rolllover on Olney Road in TD uninjured according to witness

A 16-year-old appeared to be fine after witnesses saw him role his vehicle near the intersection of Olney and Dry Hollow Roads in The Dalles on Tuesday morning, Aug. 23.
Nick Freeman, who works as an industrial mechanic for Polehn Farms, said he saw part of the crash while driving to work that morning at around 8:25 a.m.
“I was driving on Dry Hollow and I thought I heard someone was mowing in the orchard at first,” Freeman said this morning, Wednesday, Aug. 24. “But it was actually the sound of the car rolling. As I drove past the intersection with Olney, I could still see the car flipping and dust.”
Freeman said he immediately pulled over and called 911.
Freeman said the youth driving had already used a seatbelt cutter to get out of the vehicle when Freeman got to the rolled vehicle. Nick said he was prepared to give first aid because the car was so “mangled.”
“He was fine, thank God,” Freeman said. “He’s damn lucky.”
Freeman said the boy was driving down the hill on Olney Road toward Dry Hollow when he possibly hit something, crossed the center lane and drove into the ditch to the west.
“I don’t know how many times he rolled, but at least three or four,” Freeman said.
