TDHS Cheerleaders take 2nd at State
By Noelani Eggers
The audience let out a collective "ooh" as The Dalles High School cheerleading moved into their final ripple at the end of the routine at the state championship in Oregon City on Feb. 9.
With each cheerleader yelling and performing with precision and spirit, they cheered their hearts out.
The awards ceremony was tense. All of the squads wanted to place in the top three and TDHS delivered.
They won second place at state with a difference between them and first place of 1.5 points! Is first place coming next year?
It all depends on the judges, the routine, and of course, the cheerleaders themselves.
TDHS cheer had gone on to win first place in four out of four of their winter season competitions, making them undefeated heading into the competition.
