As fire victims pick up the pieces after hundreds were impacted by the Rowena Fire that destroyed 56 homes and another 77 that were inundated with smoke and damaged other wise, CCCNews has attempted here to put together the list of places both to find clothing, household items, food and other items as well as places to donate.
Fireworks Use Prohibited Within The Dalles City Limits
The City of The Dalles has declared a state of emergency under Ordinance No. 25-1412 following Wasco County’s order banning fireworks due to fire-related safety concerns. As a result, the use of all fireworks is now prohibited within City limits.
Tooley Water District Water may be Contaminated with Unknown Substances.
Due to the Rowena Wildfire, some structures in the Tooley Water District were destroyed by the fire, and some areas in the water system lost pressure. These conditions may have caused harmful contaminants, including benzene and other volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), to enter the water system.

“My daughter’s plaque, she painted in school was part of the play structure,” said Eric Daveno. “I recently moved back and looked for it but decided to wait, kind of odd to see a 60-something on a play structure with no children of his own with him! Lol.”
