Spring Showers bring Pink Umbrellas

The Dalles, Ore., March 20, 2025 — Qui of The Dalles put on her rain slicker and grabbed her umbrella this morning for the morning walk to Dry Hollow Elementary where she drops of her child for school.

Qui said she was originally from e Guangzhou Province in China before moving to the Dalles. Guangzhou is near the South China Sea and Hong Kong, or about 500 miles east of Taiwan.

It might be good for locals to take after Qui and suit up for liquid sunshine as National Weather Service predictions are calling for more rain through Friday. They are also calling for partly sunny on Saturday, March 22 with a high of 55.
