TD Road Work on Thursday and Friday

On Thursday and Friday, June 10 and 11, City crews and contractors will complete two pavement preservation projects. Work on sections of Bridge Street will force a complete closure for drivers and work on Scenic Drive will limit traffic to a single lane with flaggers.

Crews will scrub seal the streets between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. These are the first road projects on the 2021 schedule.

 A scrub seal Is similar to a chip-seal treatment. Instead of spraying liquid asphalt, an emulsion is mechanically scrubbed into cracks to make a better seal. Then the chips are spread and compacted into the emulsion. This road work is expected to extend the service life of the pavement structure, getting more bang for the buck for taxpayers.

Bridge Street will be closed Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews resurface the asphalt with a ‘scrub seal.’

June 10 & 11 – Northbound and southbound travel lanes of Bridge Street from West 10th Street to the West 14th Street - Full road closure will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Detours to Mt. Hood Street or Trevitt Street will be in place until the project is complete

Driver’s can expect delays on Scenic Drive on Thursday and Friday as crews complete roadwork limiting drivers to a single lane of traffic. Expect delays. Or better yet, avoid it completely if possible.

June 10 & 11 - Eastbound and westbound travel lanes of E Scenic Drive from Jefferson Street to the Sorosis Park Exit - Lane closures will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Motorists will be flagged to a single lane next to the construction zone. Expect delays.

Be Safe 

Motorists and bicyclists are encouraged to use alternate routes. The sidewalks will remain open to pedestrian traffic during work hours.

Please proceed with caution in these areas during construction times and observe all temporary traffic control devices. Thank you for your assistance during this work.
