More Snow forces North Wasco County School District closure on Thursday, Jan. 6
From North Wasco County School District:
D21 has been working really hard all week despite the weather to ensure our schools were ready to reopen tomorrow as it appeared the weather was improving with the slightly improved temperatures today. However, at around 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 5, Mother Nature seems to have decided she is not done with all of us. The snow has returned with the anticipation of freezing rain followed by more heavy rains all throughout tomorrow making for a very dangerous day on the roads.
D21 would like to thank our families for their continued support and patience as we have navigated mother nature’s powerful impact on the region and our schools this week. As always, the safety and health of our students, staff, and families is our number one priority and as such at the forefront of our decision-making on a daily basis.
