Learn to Help Climate by Flipping Your Switch to electric at Free at Free Hood River Event

Hood River, OR. September 20, 2023 - If you've been wondering how you can help prevent climate change, you'll want to attend a free public program on Tuesday, Oct. 3 -- and learn how to flip the switch to electricity as the power source for everything you use.
John Boonstra, a member of the Columbia Gorge Climate Action Network, will moderate the "Electrify Everything" event at Riverside Community Church, Fourth and State Streets, Hood River. It runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and includes a potato bar dinner (donations requested).
The event will be the perfect opportunity to engage experts on the topic of transitioning your energy use to electricity.
The program will help Gorge residents learn how to reduce emissions, lower utility costs and improve indoor air quality.
Presenters include Brian Stewart of Electrify Now (electrifynow.net), and Scott Shurtleff of Electrify PDX (electrifypdx.org).
Columbia Gorge residents will also share their efforts to decarbonize.
