Native American Flute player will be in concert at TD's Old St. Pete's on Saturday
From The Dalles Art Center (TDAC):
A free concert by Native American Music Award-winning flute musician James Edmund Greeley from the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs will be held on Saturday, Feb. 26th at 7 p.m. in the wonderful Old St. Peter’s Landmark. Families are encouraged to attend! Proudly sponsored by Vonda Chandler and The Dalles Art Center.
James Edmund Greeley won Best Traditional Recording for his 2017 album “Before America” on Ibori Records label.
His music and videos can be found on nearly every platform - YouTube, Apple Music, Pandora, Instagram and Facebook to name a few.
Bringing James Edmund Greeley to The Dalles to perform helps TDAC support and honor an amazing artist in our area. Thanks to a generous sponsorship by Vonda Chandler, we are able to make his music performance free to the public. We hope local families and friends have a great evening out together!
Some in The Dalles may remember James Edmund Greeley for a stunningly beautiful concert with the Cascade Singers a few years back.
TDAC is also providing a connection with Native American art with its current exhibition, Contemporary Native Voices. The exhibit honors Native American printmakers from Pendleton’s Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts.
This exhibit runs currently until March 26th from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Dalles Art Center is located at 220 E 4th (at Washington St) Downtown The Dalles, OR.
