30 Cases of COVID-19 reported at Flagstone Senior Living
Update from Oregon Health Authority today, Sept. 22 at 5:42 p.m.
COVID-19 has claimed three more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 532, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 12:01 a.m. today.
Oregon Health Authority reported 328 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. today, bringing the state total to 31,313.
The new cases are in the following counties: Benton (6), Clackamas (31), Clatsop (2), Columbia (3), Coos (3), Crook (1), Curry (1), Deschutes (11), Douglas (10), Hood River (1), Jackson (12), Jefferson (1), Josephine (4), Klamath (2), Lane (32), Lincoln (1), Linn (10), Malheur (14), Marion (38), Multnomah (60), Polk (9), Umatilla (3), Wasco (25), Washington (42) and Yamhill (6).From: Dr. Mimi McDonell, Health Officer North Central Public Health District on Sept. 21:

Thirty cases of COVID-19 reported at Flagstone Senior Living Thirty cases of COVID-19 were reported Sunday among residents and staff at Flagstone Senior Living in The Dalles.
Most of the cases are mild or asymptomatic, and no one has had to be hospitalized. Outbreaks at long term care facilities do not affect school metrics that determine when schools can return to inperson learning. Tests were given to 119 residents and staff late last week and results came back Sunday from the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory.
All positive cases, and identified family members and close contacts have been notified. Flagstone administration responded immediately to the initial positive case, and rapidly completed testing of all of the residents and staff. In addition they have increased cleaning schedules, enhanced usage of PPE and initiated other measures to reduce risk of further transmission.
North Central Public Health District staff, Flagstone administration and staff, the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Human Services are all working together to provide a rapid, intensive response to reduce harm to residents and staff and to decrease further spread at the facility and in our community.
Under OHA guidelines, everyone at Flagstone who has tested negative will be re-tested on a weekly basis until the facility has gone without a positive case for two consecutive weeks.
