Federal Marshals after suspected sex abuser charged in Wasco County, Alabama
The Dalles, Ore., Sept. 5, 2024 — Federal Marshals are seeking the whereabouts of a local man who has been charged with sex abuse in cases tied to Wasco County and Alabama.
From the Wasco County District Attorney’s office:
Today, Wasco County District Attorney Matthew Ellis announced Adam Renk (39) has been indicted on multiple sex crimes against a child victim, under the age of twelve. Renk is charged with Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, Sodomy in the First Degree, and Sex Abuse in the First Degree. These charges were ongoing in nature and began approximately in Antelope, Oregon in 2020.
Renk has also been charged with several sex crimes in Alabama against an eleven-year-old victim. The victims in the two states are unrelated. Renk posted bond in Alabama and had been released from pre-trial custody. He fled when he learned he may be possibly charged with further crimes. Alabama police and the Federal Marshals are attempting to locate Renk.
Renk has ties to Oregon and to Wasco County in particular. He may be traveling in a trailer or a converted ambulance. If anyone has knowledge concerning Renk’s whereabouts, please contact your local law enforcement immediately. Information can be provided to the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office. A charging instrument is only an accusation of a crime. Renk is innocent unless and until proven guilty.
This case is being handled by Special Deputy District Attorney and Wasco County District Attorney Elect Kara Davis.
