A local group of citizens has launched a campaign in a bid to gain community support around building a new high school in The Dalles. The website, VoteYESTDHS.org is an initiative of the Political Action Committee, North Wasco Strong Community Schools and aims to build advocacy and rally community support around the goal for a new high school Initative.

The Vote Yes group is holding two events this weekend, one Friday night April 14th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with wine and snacks at The Gorge Wine Library in The Dalles, and another Saturday morning April 15th from 10 a.m. to 1.3 p.m. with some free light breakfast, coffee, and juice at The Bargeway.

The website offers detailed information on the school bond, its contents, and its purpose. It also provides information on how to participate in groups, meetings, and events related to the bond, including volunteering opportunities. Whether you are looking to contribute to the future of education in the local community or simply meet like-minded individuals, the website provides something for everyone.

The website is also set to feature information on school property, building conditions, and financial data. Additionally, it will provide information about the current high school building, its attributes, flaws, and the arguments for its renovation or replacement, and what happens to it next.

“The North Wasco County School District 21 and the Political Action Committee are committed to ensuring that the community is well-informed about the school bond and the need for a new school building,” said Robin Denning, President of the PAC. “The VoteYesTDHS.org website is an essential resource for anyone who wants to learn more about the project and get involved in shaping the future of education in The Dalles.”

The launch of the VoteYesTDHS.org website is a significant step towards informing the community about the upcoming school bond to build a new The Dalles High School.
