Youth NOW Program
The Hood River County Youth NOW program is dedicated to aiding young adults between 14-24 years old, offering a structured pathway to either employment or educational success. With a focus on personal development, mentorship, and skill-building, the program aims to empower youth for a brighter, self-sufficient future.

Financial Literacy Classes at Mid-Columbia Housing Authority

Bridges to Health and Columbia Gorge Health Council
This initiative involves roadshows to various organizations throughout the Gorge, intending to disseminate valuable information about Bridges and the Health Council. Four Rivers Early Learning Hub Parent Cafes
The Parent Cafes are engaging, informal sessions that provide a safe space for parents and caregivers to discuss challenges and share insights about parenting. These gatherings are meant to strengthen family relationships, promote child development, and build a supportive community of parents across the Gorge.

St. Vincent de Paul - The Dalles Facility Update
Noting a significant transition, the facility in The Dalles is closing its 315 W. Third Street ministry indefinitely, though the food pantry continues to serve the community at 505 W. Ninth Street.
In addition, Mid-Columbia Community Action Council continues to provide help to the houseless at its Annex, 202 W. Second St., in The Dalles. The program emphasizes safety with strict staff-to-client ratios, ensuring both client and staff welfare, with provisions to expand capacity in times of need.
Safety Measures: In extreme weather or other emergencies, temporary surge capacity ensures no one is left without shelter, adhering to rules for safety and respect.

GOBHI Workforce Training and Community Education
Workforce Training: The GOBHI series offers specialized training for those working with older adults. Topics include managing anxiety in older adults, addressing dementia, and understanding Lewy Body Syndrome, crucial for enhancing care quality and understanding in these areas.
