The Hawks are led by the returning varsity players Kennedy Abbas, Jeilane Stewart, Zoe LeBreton, Zoe Dunn, and Kaylee Fleming. I talked to junior Zoe Dunn about her thoughts about the season and team. She said, “Our team is really talented, and I think we could do really well this season.”

Head coach Julie Summers talked about how it’s been thought trying to navigate the season with COVID. But that it’s fantastic that they have over 40 kids playing and 4 teams. She thinks that with the departure of 4 seniors that the varsity team will step up and do great.

Something coach Summers emphasized was that she hopes they can get a lot of community support. The varsity team is good and they have 3 other teams and over 40 players which is exciting for any program but especially for The Dalles. Our town should rally behind and support them.
