Character is the single most important thing in selecting the person to lead the nation

To the Editor,

I watched a May 16, 2024 interview of the former Republican governor and presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, on YouTube.  Two of the statements he made about the current Presidential election were “Character is the single most important thing in selecting the person to lead the nation” and  “When you have a person  running for president who is not willing to say, I believe the outcome of an election, that’s a threat to Democracy”.
